1 min read

This summer, people in Halifax will have the opportunity to see sharks up close and in their natural habitat, whether they are residents or visitors.

Atlantic Shark Expeditions, a company that previously operated in Liverpool, N.S., announced that they will now be offering shark cage diving experiences in Halifax beginning in July.

Neil Hammerschlag, a marine biologist and the president of Atlantic Shark Expeditions, shared that there are many sharks, such as blue sharks, mako sharks, and occasionally great whites, found off the coast of Halifax. He mentioned that individuals will be able to encounter these strong animals up close and also support their research efforts focused on studying and protecting sharks.

To go on a shark expedition, one must dedicate a whole day to being out at sea. Reservations can now be made on the website www.atlanticsharkexp.com.
